What materials/books do I need for USPAP® courses?Updated 12 days ago

For both in-person and synchronous (live online) formats of the 7-Hour Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP®) Update and Continuing Education Courses and the 15-Hour USPAP® Course, the following materials are needed:

  • 2024 USPAP®
  • USPAP® Guidance and Reference Manual (GRM) (2024 or 2026 edition depending on course cycle)
  • The corresponding student manual for the course (2024 or 2026 edition depending on course cycle)

We highly recommend purchasing the combined electronic USPAP® + GRM (2024 or 2026 edition depending on course cycle) to satisfy the requirements for USPAP® and the GRM. This linked edition streamlines cross-referencing between the two books, making navigation seamless and more efficient.

Before purchasing, please confirm with your course provider whether materials are included with your registration.

For asynchronous (self-paced) USPAP® courses, the required electronic USPAP® + GRM materials are included automatically—no additional purchases are necessary.

Note on 2024 USPAP®: The 2024 edition of USPAP has an effective date of January 1, 2024, but does not have an end date. The USPAP Guidance and Reference Manual (GRM), is the new companion volume to the standalone 2024 USPAP and contains the Advisory Opinions (AOs) and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that in previous years were published as part of the USPAP publication. The GRM also contains the Reference Index, which was introduced in late 2021 as the USPAP Reference Manual.
